ADVISORY ON DOLE AKAP FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE


Further to previous announcements on the DOLE AKAP, the Embassy wishes to share with the Filipino Community in South Korea the latest POLO Advisory on the temporary suspension of acceptance of applications for DOLE AKAP effective 5:00pm of 11 May 2020.

This is pursuant to the directive of the DOLE Office of the Secretary to all the POLOs.



As of 11 May 2020, the DOLE through POLO Korea has approved the applications of 395 OFWs in Korea who suffered employment loss/ were displaced due to COVID-19. Each of the beneficiaries was granted USD 200.00 financial assistance in local currency under the DOLE AKAP.

Accordingly, the DOLE will announce the resumption of acceptance of applications once additional funding is approved by the Office of the President (OP) and released by the Department of Budget and Management.
