Advisory to OFWs in Korea who are leaving for work in other destinations

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) of the Embassy of the Philippines urges OFWs in Korea who are leaving for work in other destinations to register through the following means:

(1) notice to the POLO-Korea of their intention to leave for another destination for employment purposes; (2) notice to the POLO/Embassy/Consulate of their arrival at the new jobsite to inform them of their entry and employment particulars into the country; or, (3) voluntary registration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The OFWs are encouraged to register through any of these means so that they will be included in the POEA and OWWA database, thereby entitling them to the benefits and protection provided to OFWs. For more information, please see attached POEA Advisory No. 1 Series of 2009.
