ADVISORY: VERIFICATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS


For the information of the general public, the Philippines' Commission on Higher Education (CHED) reminds all concerned to conduct the necessary due diligence before enrolling and engaging with any degree granting institution, both in the Philippines and overseas, to ensure recognition by the CHED of qualifications to be awarded by said institutions.

The public is hereby advised to first verify the status of International Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and their accredited/recognised programs, whether in a physical campus or through distance education, with the CHED International Affairs Service (IAS), pursuant to its mandate as the clearing house of information on the Philippine higher education system, comparability of higher education programs, degrees, and diplomas obtained from other countries, in order to be better protected from unscrupulous and predatory education providers.
