APPLICATION FOR WOOJUNG EDUCATION AND CULTURE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR 1ST SEMESTER, 2019


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to inform all Filipinos currently studying in South Korea that Woojung Education and Culture Foundation is offering financial assistance to Filipino students for the First Semester for the 2019 Academic Year. Woojung Education and Culture Foundation was established by Booyoung Group, one of the key construction companies in South Korea, with the aim to lend financial support to deserving foreign students currently studying Korea.

Please note that interested students must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate / Master's / PhD student in South Korea, should have an 80-point (Grade B equivalent) scholastic average, and should have a good demeanor and be able to contribute to the society in the future.

Qualified students must submit, personally or via postal mail, to the Embassy the following documentary requirements on or before Thursday, 24 January 2019: Application Form, Certificate of Admission, Certificate of Enrollment, Official Academic Record, Recommendation Letter from Dean or Professor, Self-Introduction, Study Plan, copy of Bank Account, and a Cover Letter addressed to Ambassador Raul S. Hernandez.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
