ASEAN Film Festival 2014


To commemorate the 2014 ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit, the ASEAN Film Festival will be held for the first time in Korea.

As a non-competitive film festival, it will screen some exceptional works from the ten ASEAN member countries – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. In celebration of the 25 years of dialogue between ASEAN and Korea, the 2014 ASEAN Film Festival is expected to bring together both master directors and budding talents. Directors and film industry professionals from the ten member countries will visit Korea and meet audiences. The festival will be held for 8 days at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. _________________________________ Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, gaganapin ang ASEAN Film Festival sa South Korea sa pagdiriwang ng 2014 ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit. Ang non-competitive film festival na ito ay magtatanghal ng iba't ibang pelikula mula sa 10 ASEAN-member countries - Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, at Vietnam. Layunin ng film festival na mapagtipon ang mga master directors at mga artista mula sa sampung bansa ng ASEAN. Gaganapin ang film festival sa loob ng walong (8) araw mula ika-27 ng Nobyembre hanggang ika-4 ng Disyembre 2014 sa National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art sa Seoul. Ang pelikulang "Sana Dati", sa panulat at direksyon ni Mr. Jerrold Tarog, ang opisyal na entry ng Pilipinas sa ASEAN Film Festival. Romantic drama ang tema ng pelikulang ito na syang final installment sa trilogy ni Mr. Tarog. Ang mga naunang pelikula ay Confessional (2007) at The Blood Trail (2009). Noong nakaraang taon, inilaban sa Cinemalaya ang "Sana Dati" na nagwagi ng Best Film award at iba pang technical awards sa gabi ng patimpalak. Hinihikayat ang lahat na panoorin at suportahan ang "Sana Dati" at tangkilikin ang pelikulang Pilipino.
