CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2019 ASEAN-KOREA YOUTH NETWORK WORKSHOP


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul is now accepting applications from Filipino undergraduate or graduate students based in the Philippines for the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop. Two (2) students will be chosen to participate in the Workshop.

Please visit the website of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (https://www.aseankorea.org) for more information and to obtain the application and consent forms for the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop.



The following requirements must be received by the Embassy (email address: m.jesalva@philembassy-seoul.com) on or before 23 May 2019 :

1. Application Form
2. Consent Form
3. Copy of Philippine passport that is valid at least 6 months after the completion of the Workshop (expiry date after 19 January 2020)

The ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop aims to provide an opportunity for the ASEAN and Korean youth to increase their awareness of ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea relations and enable them to forge genuine friendships with each other.

2019 ASEAN-KOREA YOUTH NETWORK WORKSHOP

Theme : What is Sustainable Smart City? Molding the Young Pioneers of Smart and Innovative Urban Solutions
Date : 8-18 July 2019
Venue : Korea and Singapore
Target Participants : Undergraduate and graduate students from ASEAN and Korea
Activities : Site visits and city tours in Korea and Singapore, lectures and discussions on ASEAN and ASEAN- Korea relations as well as smart urban solutions, team-building activities, cultural activities etc.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre will be responsible for the participants' plane tickets (Philippines to Korea, Korea to Singapore and Singapore to Philippines), accommodation, transportation, meals and site visit entry tickets during the Workshop.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
