EMBASSY APPEALS TO THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN SOUTH KOREA TO CONTINUE FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to appeal to the Filipino Community in South Korea to continue supporting the South Korean Government in its efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Please be reminded that the special two-week period for toughened virus curbs is in effect until 11 October 2020. During this period, indoor and outdoor gatherings exceeding 50 and 100 persons, respectively, are strictly prohibited. Additionally, high-risk facilities such as bars and clubs, shall remain fully shut down regardless of the number of visitors. In this regard, the Philippine Embassy encourages Filipinos Community leaders and/or event organizers to temporarily suspend any face-to-face community events to a later date, when social distancing measures are lifted.

Additionally, all kababayans are reminded to strictly observe prevailing regulations by wearing face masks in public, washing hands and taking all necessary precautions by avoiding crowds, gatherings, and interactions with people exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Everyone needs to actively participate in social distancing and adhere to these guidelines for everyone's health and safety. END
