EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE TO NOTIFY THE EMBASSY ON THE CLAIMING OF VOTER'S MAILING PACKET AND UPDATING OF ADDRESS FOR THE 2019 PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the Filipino public that the deadline to inform the Embassy of your preference to personally claim/ pick-up your ballot at the Embassy and the updating of addresses for those who prefer their ballots to be sent by mail has been extended to 11 April 2019. The public is informed of the following:

• The voting method to be adopted by the Embassy will be Automated Postal Voting.

• All registered Filipino overseas voters in South Korea are requested to inform the Embassy, on or before Thursday, 11 April 2019, through email address ovforpickup@philembassy-seoul.com if they prefer to pick up their ballots at the Embassy. Ballots may be picked up at the Embassy during office hours from 07 April 2019 until 12 May 2019, the day before closing of elections.

• For those who will not pick up their ballot, the same shall automatically be mailed to your registered address. If there are changes to your mailing address, kindly email your complete name and updated address at ovformailing@philembassy-seoul.com on or before Thursday, 11 April 2019.

• Mailing packets returned to the Embassy due to wrong or incomplete addresses will be posted on the Embassy website and would be made available for pickup.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
