Filipino Korean War Veterans Revisit Korea


Ambassador Luis T. Cruz and members of the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK) and their families attend a wreath-laying Ceremony at the Philippine Monument in Goyang City on 22 June 2012.

A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Philippine Monument in Goyang City on 22 June 2012 in commemoration of the sacrifices given by the members of the Philippine Armed Forces (PEFTOK) who fought to defend the security and freedom of the Republic of Korea during the Korean War.

The ceremony was organized by the Presbyterian Church under the ROK’s Revisit Korea Program for the war veterans. It was attended by Filipino Korean War veterans, Ambassador Luis T. Cruz and other embassy officials, members of the Presbyterian Church, officials of Goyang City, and members of the ROK army.
