FOREIGN SPOUSES, MINOR CHILDREN, AND PARENTS OF PHILIPPINE NATIONALS MAY APPLY FOR VISA TO ENTER THE PHILIPPINES


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to inform the public that pursuant to Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF- EID) Resolution No. 60 dated 30 July 2020, the following foreign nationals are included among those who are exempted from the temporary suspension of visa issuance to all foreign nationals:

1. Foreign spouses of Philippine nationals;



2. Foreign minor children and foreign children with special needs, regardless of age, of Filipino nationals; and

3. Foreign parents of minor Filipino children and of Filipino children with special needs, regardless of age.

The abovementioned foreign nationals who wish to enter the Philippines may apply for the appropriate Philippine visas from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sundays to Thursday, except public holidays. Please note that the Embassy observes social distancing and the wearing of masks is required in the premises.

Please be reminded of the following: (1) the aforementioned foreign nationals still need to present the pertinent supporting documents to the Immigration Bureau upon arrival in the Philippines; and (2) a visa does not guarantee entry into the Philippines. END

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
