HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT: LOCAL HIRE - Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Staff for MWO-Seoul


The Migrant Workers Office-MWO,formerly POLO, is now accepting applications for LOCAL HIRE - Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Staff

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Under supervision of the Labor Attache:

1. Assists in the handling and settling ATN cases involving OFWs by:

a) Translating ATN-related incoming and outgoing communications, such as letters, emails and phone calls from or for hospitals, lawyers, courts, detention centers, police, immigration and other related offices;
b) Coordinating and liaising with immigration, police, courts, hospital/ medical institutions, migrant centers, social welfare/ religious entities, and related government offices in order to obtain the best possible terms for the welfare of OFW;
c) Liaising with hospitals, morgue, funeral service providers and related offices for the orderly release and/or shipment of human remains; and,
d) Coordinating schedule for, and providing interpretation services during meetings of MWO with relevant agencies and firms on ATN cases; and,
e) Preparing related reports and communications.

2. Assists in workplace, prison and hospital visits, and airport assistance cases involving repatriation and stranded OFWs.

3. Performs other related functions as may be assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
- Open to Filipino and Korean nationals of good moral character. If Filipino, he/she must have a valid visa to work in Korea.
- Must be a Bachelor's Degree holder
- With relevant knowledge and experience in coordinating foreigner/foreign worker concerns with police, court, immigration and related agencies
- Must be fluent in English and Korean in both oral and written communications; facility of Filipino language is an advantage
- Must be adept in translation from Korean to English and vice-versa
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
- Must have good people-to-people skills
- Having driving skills is an advantage

Deadline for submission of application is 31 July 2023. Examination and interview will be conducted thereafter.

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:
