Important Announcement on COMELEC Voter's ID

In anticipation of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) project,

the COMELEC has announced the temporary stoppage of the printing of the COMELEC Voter's ID. Printing of the ID shall resume after the records of all 50 million voters have gone through the AFIS so that only valid voters can be issued an ID.
