JOB VACANCY AT THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul is now accepting applications for the position of Translator/Interpreter and Consular/Administrative Staff. The detailed job description, required qualifications and skills for the position are enumerated as follows:

TITLE: Translator/Interpreter and Consular/Administrative Staff

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Dealing with written and telephone inquiries related to the consular services of the Embassy
• Processing of applications for consular services
• Preparing and filing of related consular and administrative reports
• Carrying out any other reasonable ad hoc duties to support the consular and administrative functions of the Embassy
• Providing logistical and clerical support, whenever necessary
• Undertaking other duties which may be assigned from time to time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Open to Filipino and Korean citizens
• Must have at least a bachelor's degree
• Must have excellent oral and written English and Korean
• For Filipinos, must be proficient in the Korean language (TOPIK level 6)
• For Koreans, must be proficient in the English language (at least TOEIC score of 900)
• Must be computer literate
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Must know how to drive and must possess a Korean driver's license

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to respond to a range of customer needs
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A team player capable of working on their initiative and who is adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to organize time, work independently, coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and applications are processed in a timely manner

• Transcript of Records from last College/University attended
• A one-page statement of suitability setting out why you are the suitable person for the position. Your statement should include clear examples of how you meet the key competences required by the job.
