The Philippine Embassy in Seoul was requested by the Korea Immigration Service (KIS) - Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to share the following with the Filipino community in South Korea: starting 01 July 2021, the period of stay of foreigners will be granted only within the passport validity period.

For instance, even if the person is eligible for a 2-year extension, if his or her passport is only valid for six (6) months, the period of stay shall only be extended for six (6) months.
