Labor Day Forum


The Embassy of the Philippines through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Association for Korea-Philippines Administration would like to invite Filipino workers in Korea to attend the Labor Day Forum on 03 May 2009, Sunday, at 3:00 PM at the Hyewa-dong basement chapel.

Topic 1: The Impact of the Global Financial Crisis on Foreign Workers in Korea Speaker: Maragatas Amante, Phd, Professor, College of Economics and Business Administration, Hanyang University, Ansan; former Dean, School of Labor And Industrial Relations (SOLAIR), University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City Topic 2: Cooperation between Korea and the Philippines to Help Filipino Workers Speaker: Tae Myoung Kim, Hannam University Discussants: 1. The Manager of KOICA 2. Mr. Rebenson Recana, Past President, Filipino EPS Workers Association (FEWA) H.E. Ambassador Luis T. Cruz will deliver a keynote address and Mr. Sin Taek Kang, Professor Emeritus of Seoul University, will be the forum Chairman.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN SEOUL PARTICIPATES IN THE OBSERVANCE OF THE 30TH GIRL CHILD WEEK, 22 -28 MARCH 2026

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
