Lecture on Filipino Culture and Filipino Identity, 15-16 May 2010


On the occasion of the 112th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and in line with the continuing effort to promote cultural awareness to our Kababayan in Korea, the Embassy is organizing a Lecture on Filipino Culture and Filipino Identity on 15 and 16 May 2010, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m, at the Seoul Global Center (3rd Floor, Seoul Press Center, 25 Taepyeongno 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, http://global.seoul.go.kr).

The lecture will be conducted by Dr. Florentino Hornedo, PhD in Literature, History, and Political Science. He is a prolific writer, scholar, and recipient of Palanca Awards for literature. The lecture aims to reintroduce facts and features of Filipino culture, history and identity and will highlight useful information which aims to train future cultural partners that will conduct Philippine culture workshops in Korea.
