Philippine Embassy Reaches Out to Jeju's Migrant Women and Children


Filipino Spouses and Children in Jeju Apply for Passports and Reports of Birth

In recognition of the many challenges facing multi-cultural families in South Korea, the Philippine Embassy conducted a mobile outreach activity to the Filipino spouses of Koreans and their children in Jeju island from 09-10 June 2012. The mobile outreach activity included consultations with Filcom leaders and Filipina mothers from multi-cultural families in Jeju, mobile consular services such as processing of applications for reports of birth, notarials, and passporting, and OAV registration.

A total of one hundred thirteen services were rendered which included thirty-three (33) reports of birth applications and thirty (30) notarials, twenty (20) OAV registrations, twenty ePassort renewals and ten (10) new ePassport applications.
