Reinstatement of Registered Voters Not Able to Vote in 2007 and 2010 Elections


The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that it will now allow Filipinos to vote even if they failed to vote in 2 consecutive elections in a precint in an Embassy where they are registered voters. As the voters were originally deactivated by the Comelec in accordance with election laws, now they can activate their registration by coming out to vote during the election period. The voters referred to are the ones who were earlier delisted for failing to beat the deadline to manifest their intent to vote in the midterm elections.

The additional list of reinstated voters is still being prepared and the Embassy will inform the public when it is available so that those who would like to inquire may contact the Embassy.

As earlier announced, the Overseas Absentee Voting period for the 2013 Elections will be from 13 April - 13 May 2013. Overseas Absentee Voters will be able to vote for their preferred Senatorial and Party-list candidates. Venue for the voting will be at the 2nd floor of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul. On 13 April, voting time will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. From 14 April to 12 May 2013, voting time will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the last day, 13 May, voting will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In order to vote, please bring your passport or any ID. If you wish to know if you are in the List of CERTIFIED FILIPINO VOTERS IN KOREA for the 2013 elections prior to the election period, please proceed to Window # 4 at the Consular Section or call the following numbers, Sundays to Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. :

ACCEPTANCE AND VALIDATION OF DIGITAL PHILIPPINE STATISTICS AUTHORITY E-CERTIFICATE APPLICATIONS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) launched its digital PSA certificates, also known as E-Certificates, as part of its continuing efforts toward digital transformation, enhanced data privacy and security, and the promotion of convenient access to vital civil registry documents. These E-certificates currently cover civil registry documents on Birth, Marriage, Death, Certificates of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) and Advisory on Marriages, and Certificates of No Death Record and Advisory on Death.
