RESUMPTION OF DOLE AKAP FOR DISPLACED OFWS DUE TO COVID-19


Further to the Embassy Advisories on the DOLE AKAP, and as part of its continuing services to OFWs who are displaced due to the prevailing pandemic situation, the Embassy wishes to announce that the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) is resuming acceptance of application for DOLE AKAP for OFWs based in South Korea effective immediately.

Since the start of its implementation, the Embassy through POLO OWWA has approved the application of 397 displaced OFWs in South Korea who promptly received the financial assistance of USD200.00 each in local currency.



The DOLE AKAP has a limited budget; therefore, POLO OWWA can only process new applications within its budgetary authority on a first come, first served basis.

All applicants are requested to read carefully the Basic and Supplemental Information on DOLE AKAP found in http://www.philembassy-seoul.com/ann_details.asp?id=11464 and http://www.philembassy-seoul.com/ann_details.asp?id=11465 before submitting their application online through https://form.jotform.com/20100147640944.

All information supplied by the applicant shall be verified by POLO OWWA with the employer. Any misrepresentation or false information provided in the application shall be ground for disqualification.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:
