SPECIAL VOLUNTARY DEPARTURE PROGRAM FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA


The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea (MOJ) has issued an announcement on the new special voluntary departure program for foreign nationals who no longer have any legal status to remain in Korea.

According to the ROK-MOJ, beginning 07 November 2022, foreign nationals illegally staying in South Korea and voluntarily departing on or before 28 February 2023 will be granted a fine exemption and suspension of re-entry restrictions.
