UPDATE ON THE TEMPORARY OPERATION HOURS OF THE PHILIPPINES EMBASSY


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to update to the Filipino community in South Korea that the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) has a dedicated hotline for foreigners in South Korea (regardless of visa status).

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (new coronavirus), please call immediately the KCDC foreign language hotline at 1345. Service hours are:

• 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for English
• 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for Filipino

The Embassy reminds all clients that in view of the rising number of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in South Korea, starting 26 February 2020 and until further notice, the Embassy will be open to the public for Consular services from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Further, all clients are requested to wear masks within the Embassy premises in consideration of our kababayans who are availing of Embassy services.

Filipinos in South Korea are reminded to take necessary health precautions as well as to avoid large crowds and gatherings. The Philippine Embassy requests the Filipino community in South Korea to exercise utmost care and vigilance at this time.

LAUNCH OF FULLY DIGITAL APOSTILLE FOR PSA E-CERTIFICATES AND CHED E-CAVS

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul informs the public of the Official Launch of the Fully Digital Apostille (eApostille) for Philippine Statistics Authority electronic Certificates (PSA eCertificates) and Commission on Higher Education electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CHED eCAVs) at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines, on 16 March 2026. This initiative is part of the Philippines’ continuing implementation of the electronic Apostille Program (e-APP) of the HCCH aimed at facilitating the secure electronic issuance and verification of Apostilles and promoting the efficient cross-border use of public documents among Contracting Parties to the Apostille Convention.  The following arrangements for the issuance of Apostilles for PSA eCertificates, covering civil registry documents, and CHED eCAVs, covering academic documents, were implemented starting 16 March 2026:

THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN SEOUL PARTICIPATES IN THE OBSERVANCE OF THE 30TH GIRL CHILD WEEK, 22 -28 MARCH 2026

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul joins the celebration on the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week, or “Girl Child Week” from 22-28 March 2026. In accordance with Proclamation No. 759, March 6, 1996, the fourth week of March is celebrated as “Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week”.  The observance also complements the annual National Women’s Month Celebration every March.
