WALK-IN APPLICANTS FOR CONSULAR SERVICES

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea, informs the public of the following procedures for walk-in applicants for consular services in keeping with the public health and safety protocols prescribed in the Republic of Korea:
1. Passport, Notarial and Civil Registry Services
a. The Embassy will continue to accept daily walk-in applicants who are senior citizens (60 years-old and above); minors who are 7 years old and below accompanied by an adult parent/guardian; persons with disabilities; pregnant women; and those with valid emergencies (such as death of a family member, medical emergency) or urgent need to travel (Embassy Advisory dated 14 December 2021) from Sundays to Thursdays from 9:30 A.M. to 3 P.M.
b. Walk-in applicants not falling under the groups mentioned in letter (a) will be accepted from 9:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Mondays through Thursdays given the high volume of applicants who have already made prior appointments on Sundays.
c. A sign-up sheet will be set up at the Embassy Lobby in the morning (09:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.) and in the afternoon (1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.) for up to a certain number of walk-in applicants that can be served during these times, in addition to those coming in for their previously scheduled appointments, to avoid long waiting times and to maintain health protocols given the limited space and distancing measures at the Embassy.
d. The DFA Global Online Appointment System (GOAS), which all Philippine Embassies and Consulates General overseas began implementing early this year, will continue to be the primary means of
securing schedules for passport applications (please see: https://www.passport.gov.ph/).
e. All walk-in applicants must make sure their documents are complete in order to avoid delays and ensure faster processing. Hence, they are advised to send a request for assessment, with copies of their documents, to the following:
i) passport@philembassy-seoul.com (Passport renewal, releasing)
ii) notarials@philembassy-seoul.com (SPA, NBI clearance, dual citizenship, etc.)
iii) civilregistries@philembassy-seoul.com (Reports of Birth, Marriage)
f. In the interest of public safety, the Embassy reserves the right not to entertain walk-in applicants who may exhibit flu-like symptoms and/or have recently tested positive for COVID-19. Applicants who are experiencing COVID19-related symptoms are advised to re-scheduled their visits to the Embassy.
2. Visa Services
a. All 9(a) visa applicants who have an Entry Exemption Document (EED) from the Department of Foreign Affairs are encouraged to lodge their applications through the Online Visa Application System (OVAS) at http://www.visa.gov.ph.
b. Those applying for other visa types (e.g., 9e, 9c, 9g, 47a2) will continue to use the paper application form.
c. The Philippine Embassy will issue succeeding advisories on visa matters based on updated regulations from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
3. Prior Appointments Made
The public is likewise assured that prior appointments made, including slots for passport renewal secured from 2021 to the present, will be honored and there is no need to change them.
Thank you.
