Ambassador Cruz Stresses Strong Economic Ties during Presentation of Credentials

Philippine Ambassador to Seoul Luis T. Cruz highlighted the strong economic ties between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea during his Presentation of Credentials to former President Roh Moo-hyun at the Cheong Wa Dae Palace on 15 February 2008. Ambassador Cruz underscored the contribution to the Philippine economy of South Korea, being its top source of tourists, foreign students and, very soon, foreign investors. People-to-people exchange is also expected to intensify with the increase of weekly flights under the bilateral Air Services Agreement.

The Presentation of Credentials is a ceremony which officially recognizes the status of the Ambassador as top envoy of the sending country to the host state.
