AMBASSADOR FERNANDEZ CONGRATULATES AMBASSADOR LANDRY MBOUMBA, NON-RESIDENT AMBASSADOR OF THE GABONESE REPUBLIC TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES

Seoul, 11 August 2026 - Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez conveyed felicitations to His Excellency Ambassador Landry Mboumba, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic to the Republic of the Philippines, on the occasion of his presentation of credentials to His Excellency President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on 04 August 2026 at the Malacañan Palace.

Ambassador Mboumba is also the Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic to the Republic of Korea.

On 11 August 2026, following his presentation of credentials in Manila, Ambassador Mboumba was received by Ambassador Fernandez at the Philippine Embassy to discuss ways and means to pursue cooperation between Gabon and the Philippines.

Ambassador Fernandez reaffirmed the commitment of the Philippines to strengthen diplomatic relations with Gabon as both countries are celebrating 60 years of friendship this year. Both the Philippines and Gabon will benefit from an enhanced cooperation in trade of goods and cultural and educational exchanges. END
