Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega joins ROK Foreign Minister Park Jin and the ASEAN Committee in Seoul in a meeting with ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn

18 June 2023, Seoul. Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega was honored to join ROK Foreign Minister Park Jin and the ASEAN Committee in Seoul in meeting with Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn during his inaugural working visit to the Republic of Korea last 16 June 2023.

The Republic of Korea is one of ASEAN's most active Dialogue Partners. During the dialogue between the Secretary General and the Heads of ASEAN Diplomatic Missions in Seoul, Ambassador Dizon-De Vega affirmed the Philippines' support and cooperation for ASEAN initiatives with the Republic of Korea and the importance of working together for the peace, security, stability, and prosperity of the region. PHILIPPINES, REPUBLIC OF KOREA STRENGTHEN BILATERAL POLICE COOPERATION

SEOUL, 22 October 2026 — Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Juanito Victor C. Remulla met with Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) Acting Commissioner General Kim Jong-chul to discuss strengthening bilateral police cooperation, including law enforcement capacity building, police modernization, and addressing transnational crime. The meeting builds on the Philippines–ROK Strategic Partnership and advances the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Police Cooperation signed during the State Visit of ROK President Lee Jae Myung to the Philippines on 3 March 2026. Philippine National Police Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. also joined the discussions.
