04 May 2026, Seoul - Mr. Mon Abrea, Founder and CEO, and Ms. Hazel Joy Mendoza, Chief Strategy Officer, of Asian Consulting Group (ACG) called on Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul on 04 May 2026. Mr. Abrea is a globally-recognized tax policy expert and advisor to governments, multinational corporations, and international organizations.

The meeting discussed issues relating to current Philippine policies, including taxation, and how they affect different sectors of the Philippine economy and foreign investments.  Mr. Abrea also covered financial products offered by the Philippine Government that have relatively low risks and offer decent returns that Overseas Filipinos can invest in. 

Mr. Abrea also presented a copy of his new guidebook, “Why Invest in the Philippines? A Guide in Investing and Doing Business in the Philippines - Create More Edition”, to Ambassador Fernandez.  The book serves as a handy and comprehensive guide detailing why the Philippines is a premier investment destination with a technically proficient workforce, strategic location in Asia and and a liberalized economy.  - END

SEOUL, 18 August 2026 —Philippine Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez highlighted the importance of uniting public and private sectors for disaster response, climate resilience, and sustainable development during the Fellowship of the 2026 KOICA Global Training Program: Capacity Building for Public-Private Governance on Community Volunteer Work in the Philippines (2024–2026) in Gwangju on 18 August 2026. Driven by urbanization and rising natural calamities in the Philippines, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of shifting the focus from reactive crisis management to proactive readiness, allowing communities to recover much faster through shared governance.
