DETAILS ON THE CASE OF THE FIRST FILIPINO COVID-19 PATIENT IN SOUTH KOREA


The Philippine Embassy in Seoul wishes to share with the public the following information provided by the Incheon Local Government regarding the Filipino national who has been tested positive for COVID-19:

• The Filipino national lives and works at Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.

• Said Filipino national traveled to Geneva, Switzerland from 07 to 12 March, and arrived in South Korea on 16 March.

• On 19 March, the Filipino national was tested for COVID-19 at the Nasaret International Hospital.

• The Filipino national was confirmed to be COVID-19-positive on 20 March.

Local health authorities are currently conducting contact and route tracing. They are also testing people who were in close contact with the patient, and have already disinfected the patient's residence. END
