Filipina Artist Opens Exhibit in Seoul
9 April – Known for her Treebark Art—paintings, photographs and prints inspired by the sycamore tree—Seoul-based artist Loreta Medina (second from left) opens her one-woman exhibit entitled “Trans-forms†at the KT Art Hall in downtown Seoul.
Amb. Luis T. Cruz (rightmost) praised Medina for featuring works that carry an environmental message and encouraged her to continue promoting Philippine art and culture in South Korea. Also in the photo are Mr. Alfonso Delgado of Pryce Waterhouse Coopers and First Secretary and Consul Sylvia Marasigan. The artwork featured in the photo is called "Woman and Child." The exhibit will run until 3 May 2008.
