FILIPINO ARTISTS FEATURED IN SEOUL ART WEEK 2026


[In photos] Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez supported Filipino artists Joyce Ashworth and Marites van Vianen at the IDENTITY art exhibit. The artists were accompanied by their spouses Mr. David Ashworth and Mr. Jacob van Vianen.

Seoul, 3 September 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul congratulates Filipino artists Maritess van Vianen of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, and Joyce Ashworth of Lumban, Laguna whose works were featured in IDENTITY, an international contemporary art exhibition at the Ara Art Center in Insadong.

Philippine Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez attended the exhibition’s vernissage on 2 September 2026 and viewed the works of the two Filipino artists alongside those of artists from across Asia and Europe.

A part of Seoul Art Week 2026, IDENTITY ran until 6 September 2026, providing another platform for Filipino creativity and artistic expression in the Republic of Korea. END

Seoul, 3 September 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul congratulates Ana Mae Roa on completing her Master of International Studies at Korea University’s Graduate School of International Studies. A copy of her thesis, Korean Language Centers as Intermediaries in Mobility from the Philippines to South Korea, completed in August 2026, has been deposited at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal Library.

PHILIPPINES PITCHES INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND INCENTIVES AT THE PHILIPPINES-KOREA BUSINESS FORUM

Seoul, 27 August 2026 – The Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Seoul convened the Philippines–Korea Business Forum at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, bringing together more than 40 representatives of Korean companies and business organizations.
