FILIPINO BASKETBALL PLAYERS FETED AT KBL AWARDS CEREMONY 2025-2026

09 April 2026, Seoul - During the 2025-2026 Korean Basketball League (KBL) Awards Ceremony at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Seoul, two Filipino players were given awards for their outstanding performances during the 2025-2026 KBL season.  Kevin Quiambao of Goyang Sono Skygunners won the Rookie of the Year Award, becoming the third Filipino player to win such a feat. 

Ethan Alvano, a Filipino-American Player for Wonju DB Promy Team, was also recognized as one of the Regular League’s Best 5 Players.  Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Mendoza presented the awards to the top 5 basketball players of the regular season.

The KBL Awards Ceremony is an annual event held to recognize top players, coaches and clubs in the KBL regular season. END
