FILIPINO CADETS GRADUATE WITH HIGH HONORS FROM ROK MILITARY AND NAVAL ACADEMIES


Cadet 1CL Guidson T Domingo graduated with a Bachelor of Military Arts and Science, Major in International Relations from the Korea Military Academy (KMA) on 27 February 2026. He was joined by his parents and Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché to the Republic of Korea Colonel Don D Templonuevo PA (GSC).

27 February 2026, Seoul and Changwon, ROK. The Philippine Embassy in Seoul congratulates Philippine Cadet 1st Class Guidson T. Domingo of the Korea Military Academy (KMA) and Philippine Midshipman 1st Class Lemuel H. Ego-ogan of the Republic of Korea Naval Academy (ROKNA) on their graduation on 27 February 2026, reflecting the continued excellence of Filipino cadets in premier ROK military institutions and the enduring strength of Philippines–Republic of Korea defense cooperation, including academic exchanges between our armed forces.

Cadet Domingo, from North Cotabato, graduated from KMA’s 82nd Class with a Bachelor of Military Arts and Science major in International Relations during ceremonies held at the KMA Hwarang Parade Ground in Seoul, where he was recognized as Outstanding Foreign Cadet, Star Man, and recipient of the KMA Comradeship Award. Midshipman Ego-ogan, from Compostela, Davao de Oro, earned a Bachelor of Military Arts and Science major in Oceanography at the ROK Naval Base in Jinhae-gu, Changwon, receiving distinctions including the US Chinhae Naval Force Command Korea Award, Regimental Communication-Aide Merit, and 1st Battalion Intelligence and Operations Officer Merit. Upon their return to the Philippines, Cadet Domingo will be commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Philippine Army, while Midshipman Ego-ogan will serve as an Ensign in the Philippine Navy. END

Midshipman 1st Class Lemuel H. Ego-ogan graduated with a Bachelor of Military Arts and Science, major in Oceanography from the ROK Naval Academy (ROKNA) on 27 February 2026. His father, foster parents and fellow Philippine Midshipmen and Midshipwomen were present during the graduation ceremony.

PH EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, VALUE OF DIPLOMACY AT KNDA ANNUAL PANEL

25 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the Annual Diplomatic Panel of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on 25 March 2026 at the DiploTown Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.  The program gathered forty (40) diplomatic candidates of the KNDA and five (5) working-level diplomats from the Embassies of the Philippines, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Brazil.  The KNDA panel convenes representatives of diplomatic missions in Seoul for an exchange on the practice of diplomacy and present the significance of their respective countries’ relations with the Republic of Korea to the newest cohort of Korean diplomats.

30 March 2026, Seoul – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul hosted a roundtable on cyber diplomacy, gender-inclusive artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity on 30 March 2026, bringing together female Heads of Mission in the Republic of Korea, diplomats, and invited stakeholders from government, academe, business, and civil society. The roundtable served as a platform for discussing cybersecurity, digital governance, artificial intelligence, and the continuing need to narrow the gender gap in the digital sphere.
