Ambassador Luis T. Cruz delivers a congratulatory address during the inauguration ceremony of the Global Challenge for Young Persons with Disabilities Study Program held in Seoul, on 18 August 2008.

The program aims to enable young adults with disabilities to build their capacity to deal with disability issues both on national and international level and eventually develop them to become influential figures in promoting a better society for persons with disabilities in the future. The study program was organized by the Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (KSRPD). Two delegates from Philippines are participating in this year’s program.

04 February 2026, Seoul — The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, led by Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, received a delegation from the Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines Inc. (OSHDP) at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room. Embassy officials, together with representatives of the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG Fund Member Services, joined the productive discussions on improving services for Filipinos in Korea, including access to Pag-IBIG and SSS programs, and support for OFWs and residents investing in housing back home.

CPR TRAINING PROGRAM FOR OFWS & OVERSEAS FILIPINOS IN SOUTH KOREA

8 February 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, through the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) South Korea, successfully conducted a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Overseas Filipinos (OFs) on February 8, 2026, at the 2nd Floor, Sentro Rizal Hall, Philippine Embassy.  A total of sixty-four (64) participants actively took part in the life-saving skills training.
