MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE LED BY SPEAKER ROMUALDEZ WELCOMES ROK NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SPEAKER KIM JINPYO TO THE PHILIPPINES

Glona Labadlabad, and Philippine Ambassador to Korea Theresa Dizon-De Vega at the NAIA International airport on 23 July 2023.

24 July 2023, Seoul. House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez hosted a luncheon for National Assembly Speaker Kim Jinpyo at the House of Representatives, Batasan Hills on 24 July 2023. ROK Speaker Kim Jinpyo was in Manila for an Official Visit from 23-25 July 2023.

Both Speakers looked forward to the upgrading of the relations between the Philippines and Korea to a Strategic Partnership. They likewise agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the defense, energy, agriculture, and critical minerals industries. Both Speakers previously met at the 18th Jeju Forum on Peace and Prosperity in Jeju Island last June 2023 where they had a productive discussion on deepening PH-ROK interparliamentary relations.

Speaker Kim and his delegation were likewise received by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr., Committee on Inter-parliamentary and Foreign Relations Chairperson Rep. Glona Labadlabad, and Philippine Ambassador to Korea Theresa Dizon-De Vega at the NAIA International airport on 23 July 2023. END

STUDENTS FROM DULWICH COLLEGE SEOUL BRITISH SCHOOL VISIT THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY

9 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy had the pleasure of welcoming a class of Year 4 students and teachers from Dulwich College Seoul, a British international school with approximately 747 students representing around 45 nationalities. The visit formed part of the school’s learning program aimed at helping young students better understand global cultures, governance, and international relations. The visiting group consisted of 23 students aged eight years old and three teachers. The students are currently studying governance, guided by the central inquiry question: “Who has the power to change the world?” The embassy visit provided them with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about diplomacy and the role of international cooperation in shaping global affairs.
