SEOUL, 8 July 2014 – Representatives from different multicultural organizations in South Korea called on Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez on Tuesday, 8 July 2014 to tell him of their plans to undertake volunteer work in Metro Manila on 1-6 August 2014.

The representatives were Ms. Grace Tadili, President of United Filipinos in Korea (UFILKOR), Cho Man-woong, Chairman of the Multicultural General Welfare Center (MGWC), Ms. Etsuko Uda, President of the Association of International Families in Korea, and Ms. Moon Hye-rim, President of Philippine Blessed Missionaries in Korea. Collectively called the Dahwa Volunteers, some 50 volunteers from South Korea, Japan and the Philippines will render KRW120 million worth of medical services in the cities of Manila, Quezon and Caloocan. Ambassador Hernandez was also invited to deliver congratulatory remarks at the 2014 Multicultural World Peace Citizen Festival to be held at the Seoul City Hall Plaza Square on 9 August 2014. It will be hosted by the Korea Multicultural Peace Federation under President Ryu Kyeong-seuk, Segye Times, Sun Moon University, and the MGWC. The festival will give recognition to outstanding multicultural citizens/families in South Korea who received awards from various government organizations and NGOs for their contributions to nation-building and the promotion of peace. UFILKOR also informed the Ambassador that Universal Peace Federation has donated KRW4 million worth of books to 40 multicultural families in Suwon and 40 in Seoul. The group also invited the Ambassador or his representative to be present at the turnover ceremony due to take place sometime in August 2014.

PH EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, VALUE OF DIPLOMACY AT KNDA ANNUAL PANEL

25 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the Annual Diplomatic Panel of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on 25 March 2026 at the DiploTown Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.  The program gathered forty (40) diplomatic candidates of the KNDA and five (5) working-level diplomats from the Embassies of the Philippines, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Brazil.  The KNDA panel convenes representatives of diplomatic missions in Seoul for an exchange on the practice of diplomacy and present the significance of their respective countries’ relations with the Republic of Korea to the newest cohort of Korean diplomats.
