MWO EXTENDS AKSYON FUND AID TO 11 DISTRESSED OFWS


April 26, 2026, Seoul - The Migrant Workers Office (MWO), on April 26, 2026, provided financial assistance to 11 distressed Overseas Filipino Workers, amounting to KRW 13,740,000. Each beneficiary received KRW 1,250,000 (approximately ₱50,000) to support recovery from fire-related incidents and various medical cases under the government’s AKSYON Fund program.

Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez graced the activity and personally took time to check on the workers. She emphasized the government’s continued commitment to serving Filipinos in South Korea. She reassured everyone that efforts are continuously being improved to better assist and support our kababayans. 

The Labor Attaché and Welfare Officer also conducted a short Konting Kaalaman session, where the programs and services of the Philippine government, the Embassy, MWO, and OWWA were shared. -END-
