PH AMBASSADOR DE VEGA MEETS WITH KUWAITI AMBASSADOR H.E. BADER ALAWADI

SEOUL, 16 February 2022 - Philippine Ambassador Ma. Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait and the Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Seoul, H.E. Bader AlAwadi on 16 February 2022.

Both Ambassadors discussed various matters of mutual interest including mobility, trade and investment, and current events. During the meeting, Ambassador AlAwadi praised the Filipino people living and working in Kuwait for their excellent work ethic, as well as their contribution to the development of Kuwait. Ambassador De Vega availed of the opportunity to discuss Philippines and Kuwait relations and to provide updates on the Philippines' re-opening to certain categories of travelers.

Ambassador AlAwadi warmly welcomed Ambassador Dizon-De Vega and extended his best wishes for her successful tenure in Korea. END

PH EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, VALUE OF DIPLOMACY AT KNDA ANNUAL PANEL

25 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the Annual Diplomatic Panel of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on 25 March 2026 at the DiploTown Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.  The program gathered forty (40) diplomatic candidates of the KNDA and five (5) working-level diplomats from the Embassies of the Philippines, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Brazil.  The KNDA panel convenes representatives of diplomatic missions in Seoul for an exchange on the practice of diplomacy and present the significance of their respective countries’ relations with the Republic of Korea to the newest cohort of Korean diplomats.

The roundtable served as a platform for discussing cybersecurity, digital governance, artificial intelligence, and the continuing need to narrow the gender gap in the digital sphere.
