PH CONSUL GENERAL TO BUSAN LEAH VICTORIA T. CARADA ARRIVES IN KOREA


17 March 2026, Busan - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul warmly welcomes the arrival of Consul General Leah Victoria T. Carada, who assumes leadership of the Philippine Consulate General in Busan.

Prior to her appointment, Consul General Carada served as Deputy Assistant Secretary (Deputy Director General) of the Office of Asia Pacific Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs, where she oversaw bilateral relations between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. Consul General Carada brings a wealth of experience in diplomatic and consular work, having previously served at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, and the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, California.

The Philippine Consulate General in Busan has jurisdiction over four metropolitan cities—Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Ulsan—as well as Gyeongsang and Jeolla provinces, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, bringing consular services closer to Filipinos across southern Republic of Korea.
