PH ENVOY INVITES K-WATER TO EXPAND ITS PRESENCE IN THE PH

SEOUL, 3 November 2017-Philippine Ambassador to ROK Raul S. Hernandez visited K-Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) on 30 October 2017 and met with K-Water CEO, Mr. Lee Hak-Soo . K-Water is a major investor in the water sector of the Philippines.

Ambassador Hernandez was joined at the meeting by Commercial Counsellor Emmanuel Ang, Attache Jhoanna Jarasa, and Trade Officer Ai Ja Jeon.
K-Water is the governmental agency primarily responsible for spearheading comprehensive water resources development in South Korea. With 50 years experience, K-Water is renowned for its expertise in the following areas:
- Construction, operation, and management of facilities for the comprehensive use and development of water resources;
- Construction and management of metropolitan waterworks (including industrial waterworks);
- Development of industrial complexes and special-purpose zones;
- Contracted-out operation of local waterworks and sewage; and
- Construction, operation, and management of water-related renewable energy facilities

In the meeting, Ambassador Hernandez expressed the Philippines' appreciation to K-Water for its significant investments in water projects in the Philippines. The Philippines is the first overseas investment destination of K-water, and the company is currently involved in four (4) major projects, including the Angat Hydroelectric power plant project and the Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project. Ambassador Hernandez expressed appreciation for K-water's confidence in the Philippines, and for sharing water infrastructure-related technology and expertise with the Philippines. Ambassador Hernandez also assured K-water of the Philippine Embassy's continued support and assistance, and encouraged K-water to expand their presence in the Philippines
K-Water CEO Lee Hak-Soo expressed elation at the success of their joint venture projects in the Philippines and conveyed that they would be very open to considering other water or energy related projects in the Philippines.
The meeting ended with Ambassador Hernandez inviting K-water to attend the ASEAN Connectivity Forum on 29 November 2017 in Seoul, where Philippine infrastructure projects will be presented to Korean investors. Ambassador Hernandez also invited K-water to join a Korean infrastructure investment delegation visiting the Philippines in January 2018.

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND MWO-OWWA HOSTS 3RD “KUMUSTAHAN WITH EPS CAREGIVERS” AND MEET & GREET WITH THE AMBASSADOR

28 September 2025, Seoul – On September 28, 2025, the Migrant Workers Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (MWO-OWWA), led by Ambassador-designate Bernadette Therese C.
