PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR JOINS DIPLOMATIC VISIT TO BAN KI-MOON PEACE MUSEUM

SEOUL, 8 May 2026 — Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea H.E. Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez joined H.E. Ban Ki-moon, 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations and President and Chair of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), together with Heads of Diplomatic Missions in the Republic of Korea, during a visit to the Peace Museum of the 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in North Chungcheong Province on 8 May 2026.
The Peace Museum was established to honor the ideals of the United Nations and to present the life, public service, and global contributions of H.E. Ban Ki-moon, whose distinguished career continues to inspire international cooperation, dialogue, and peace. The museum also serves as an educational space encouraging future generations to cultivate global citizenship and leadership grounded in service, humility, and responsibility.
During the visit, members of the diplomatic corps viewed the documentary “The Quiet Diplomat”, on H.E. Ban’s life and career, offering a closer look at his humble beginnings, formative experiences, and meaningful work as a statesman and multilateral leader.
Ambassador Fernandez conveyed appreciation for the opportunity to join the visit, underscoring the enduring importance of diplomacy, international solidarity, and the United Nations’ mission in addressing shared global challenges. END
