The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, represented by Charge d'Affaires, a.i. Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza, participated in the diplomatic dinner hosted by ROK President Lee Jae-myung at the Blue House guesthouse on 14 August 2025.

Seoul, 14 August 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, represented by Charge d'Affaires, a.i. Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza, participated in the diplomatic dinner hosted by ROK President Lee Jae-myung at the Blue House guesthouse on 14 August 2025. The event, which brought together around 170 members of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Korea, served as a platform for President Lee to outline his administration's vision for foreign policy and to seek support for the upcoming 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju. 

The Philippines has previously expressed support for the successful hosting of APEC and emphasized the importance of multilateral diplomacy in addressing regional and global issues at the highest level, during the phone call between Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and ROK President Lee Jae Myung. 

The Philippines and the Republic of Korea share a deep and enduring relationship, both bilaterally and multilaterally. Our mutual aspirations for peace and prosperity are consistently strengthened through our strategic partnership. END

8 January 2026, Seoul – Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea H.E. Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez met with National Assembly Member Representative Kim Sung-won, Chair of the Republic of Korea–Philippines Parliamentary Friendship Group, at the National Assembly on 8 January 2026 to discuss strengthening parliamentary exchanges and bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. PH, ROK REAFFIRM COMMITMENT TO CONSULAR COOPERATION AND PROTECTION OF NATIONALS

9 January 2026, Seoul. Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez, met with Director General for Consular Affairs Yoon Chuseok of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea to reaffirm the shared commitment of the Philippines and the ROK to the safety and welfare of their nationals.
