06 May 2026, Seoul. Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez administered the oath taking of the officers of three Filipino community organizations, the United Filipinos in Korea (UFILKOR) headed by Ms. Antonieta De Jesus and Philippine Organization of International Ministers Evangelizing Nations (POIMEN) headed by Pastor Raphy Calonge on 29 March 2026, as well as the MAISUG HMPY South Korea headed by Mr. Joselito Valdez on 03 May 2026 at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room of the Philippine Embassy. 

These Filipino community organizations have continuously supported the various community initiatives and activities of the Embassy and have been working to help protect and promote the general welfare and interests of the Filipino community in Korea. 

The Philippine Embassy in Seoul congratulates the new set of officers and their lead advisors Ms. Mercy Hachero, Bishop Ariel Bernardo and Ms. Donnabelle Casipong. END

Seoul, 5 July 2026 – Reinforcing its commitment to the welfare, skills development, and lifelong learning of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, through the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) – South Korea, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), successfully conducted the livelihood skills training entitled "Kitchen Confidence: Mastering Food Safety and Sanitation" on 5 July 2026 at the Sentro Rizal Hall, Philippine Embassy in Seoul.
