PHILIPPINE EMBASSY CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH AND MOBILE OVERSEAS VOTER REGISTRATION IN GIMHAE CITY


03 April 2023, Seoul. The Philippine Embassy conducted its first consular outreach mission for the year from 31 March to 01 April 2023 in Gimhae City, led by Consul General Romulo Victor Israel, Jr. The Embassy rendered 112 units of consular and Assistance to Nationals services to members of the Filipino community, including e-passport applications, notarials, marriage solemnization, civil registration, oath-taking of dual citizenship applicants, assistance-to-nationals and other services. Representatives from Pag-IBIG, MWO, OWWA and PDOT also joined the outreach and rendered a combined 156 services, including renewal of OWWA membership and OEC processing, contract verification, opening of Pag-IBIG regular and MP2 accounts, ad inquiries on the "Bisita, Be My Guest" program of PDOT, among others. The Embassy also conducted a mobile overseas voter registration and facilitated the application of 15 Filipinos.

An awarding ceremony for the volunteers from the Filipino Association in Gimhae Korea was also held to conclude the outreach mission. The Philippine Embassy will hold its next consular outreach mission from 30 June to 01 July 2023 in Gwangju Metropolitan City. END

PH AMBASSADOR VISITS CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF KOREA

26 March 2026, Seoul - Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez participated in the tour of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea on 23 March 2026. The invitation also included a courtesy call and luncheon with Justice Kim Hyungdu, the highest official following the Constitutional Court President. The Ambassadors of Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Thailand, Uzbekistan, were also invited to take part in the activity.
