PHILIPPINE EMBASSY DONATES TRADITIONAL ATTIRE TO THE MULTICULTURE MUSEUM


SEOUL, 3 March 2022 - Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega met today with Mr. Kim Yun Tae, Chairman of the Board of the Multiculture Museum to discuss potential projects for cultural exchange. The highlight of the meeting was the donation by the Embassy of a set of traditional Filipino attire - a Filipiniana gown and a pina barong - to be permanently displayed in the museum's world costume exhibition. The exhibition showcases traditional attire donated by Embassies from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Central and South America. The Multiculture Museum likewise gave the Ambassador a plaque of appreciation and a modern Hanbok blazer.

Chairman Kim expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Dizon-De Vega for the donation and offered the museum as a venue for forthcoming projects of the Embassy. Ambassador Dizon-De Vega thanked Chairman Kim for his offer and conveyed the Embassy's willingness to revitalize the partnership with the museum through possible future projects, including a textile and weaving exhibition, a printmaking exhibition, and culinary promotion.

Joining Ambassador Dizon-De Vega at the event were Cultural Officer Anthony Cornista and Political-Economic section Assistant Vivienne Velasquez. END

PH EMBASSY HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, VALUE OF DIPLOMACY AT KNDA ANNUAL PANEL

25 March 2026, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the Annual Diplomatic Panel of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on 25 March 2026 at the DiploTown Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.  The program gathered forty (40) diplomatic candidates of the KNDA and five (5) working-level diplomats from the Embassies of the Philippines, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and Brazil.  The KNDA panel convenes representatives of diplomatic missions in Seoul for an exchange on the practice of diplomacy and present the significance of their respective countries’ relations with the Republic of Korea to the newest cohort of Korean diplomats.
