11 January 2026, Paju City. Philippine Embassy in Seoul’s Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza together with PTIC-Seoul Commercial Attaché Charmaine Mignon Yalong and the economic section visited the Hangang River Tunnel Promotion Center on 29 December 2025 located in Paju City, Gyeonggi Province. The center is being operated by Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC), a public corporation established in 1969 specializing in the road and transportation sectors in the Republic of Korea.

Embassy officials expressed appreciation to Senior Manager Park Yoon Bae and his team from the KEC-Overseas Project Division for arranging the site visit and the opportunity to learn about ROK’s infrastructure innovations and road transport technology. END
