PHILIPPINE EMBASSY WELCOMES PHILIPPINE SPACE AGENCY AND DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY DELEGATION
28 June 2026, SEOUL – The Philippine Embassy in Seoul welcomes members of the Philippine delegation from the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), who have participated in the 2026 Economic Innovation Partnership Program (EIPP) Interim Reporting and Capacity Building Workshop in the Republic of Korea.
Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Edwin Gil Q. Mendoza met with the delegation headed by Deputy Director General Denis F. Villorente for PhilSA and Assistant Secretary for Special Concerns Christian Mark G. Guingcangco for DICT where he shared a brief overview of the functions of the Embassy and its attached agencies. DICT and PhilSA shared highlights of the EIPP workshop they have attended and future plans to expand cooperation with the ROK on satellite technology, connectivity and digital infrastructure.
Through the EIPP, the Philippines and ROK will pursue digital transformation and innovation projects including the formulation of a National Communications Satellite Roadmap for the Philippines, the establishment of an Implementation Plan for the Philippine E-Government Master Plan, and the Establishment of an Implementation Plan for the Philippines for an Integrated Data Center.
