19 January 2008 – Former Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Susan O. Castrence (fourth from left) leads the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Busan City with businessman and Honorary Consul Keun-Chul Lee (third from left). The Honorary Consulate is expected to promote trade and investments and assist Filipinos in the southern region of Korea, where more than 9,000 Filipinos reside as students, workers, professionals or spouses.
