PHL AMBASSADOR RECOGNIZED AT THE 2015 KOREA CONSUMER AWARDS


The Friendship Prize, presented by the Korea Consumers Association, Consumer Post and the Korea Consumer Awards Committee, recognized Philippine Ambassador Raul S. Hernandez for his active contribution in enhancing the friendship between the Philippines and Korea.

SEOUL, 1 June 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Korea Raul S. Hernandez was given a special prize at the influential Korea Consumer Awards 2015 at the National Assembly on 1 June 2015 in recognition of his key role in promoting cordial relations between the Philippines and Korea.

The Friendship Award, which was presented by the Korea Consumers Association, Consumer Post and the Korea Consumer Awards Committee, was handed to Ambassador Hernandez for writing an article and attending local programs organized by NDN News and the Seoul City Magazine.

NDN News International Editor Yeo Hong-il said Ambassador Hernandez was among the most active contributors in the diplomatic corps, together with the ambassadors of Bulgaria, Iran, Malaysia, Spain, and Vietnam, who were also recognized.

Around 50 awardees, which include Ambassadors, members of the National Assembly, leaders of local governments, and CEOs, were recognized for fulfilling their social responsibilities and for protecting consumers' rights.

PHILIPPINE MADRIGAL SINGERS SHOWCASE ARTISTRY IN KOREA PERFORMANCES

07 March 2025 – The world-renowned and multi-awarded Philippine Madrigal Singers showcased their artistry before Korean and international audiences in several performances in Korea from 22-28 February 2025. The group, also known popularly as the MADZ, astounded audiences with their vocal mastery and intricate choral arrangements in various performances in Suwon, Ansan, Pohang, and as a special featured choir at the popular Jeju International Choral Festival.   The MADZ with their diverse repertoire of Filipino, international, spiritual, classical, popular, and ethnic music brought audiences to their feet as their performances received standing ovations from audiences.
