PHL OPENS PAVILION AT HANA TOUR INT'L TRAVEL SHOW 2015


GOYANG, 5 June 2015 – The Philippines participated in the International Travel Show 2015 organized by Hana Tour, Korea's largest tour company, at the Korean International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) on 5-7 June 2015 in Goyang, located some 30km northwest of Seoul.

The International Travel Show was formally opened by Mr. Sang Hwan Park, Chairman of Hana Tour. US Ambassador to Korea Mark Lippert and Mr. Yang Moo-seung, Chairman of the Korea Association of Travel Agents, delivered the congratulatory remarks.

Philippine Ambassador to Korea Raul S. Hernandez and Philippine Tourism Director and Attaché MariconEbronattended the opening ceremony.

Following the opening ceremony, Ambassador Hernandez visited the Philippine pavilion and met with the Philippine delegation composed of representatives from hotel properties in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Batangas, Clark and Palawan.

The event provided an opportunity to showcase the Philippines as a prime destination for leisure and adventure travel.The Philippine pavilion was popular with visitors as the tour packages being offered featured the natural beauty of Philippine travel destinations.

The Hana International Travel Show, a prestigious trade and consumer event, is heldannually in Seoul and attracts approximately over 75,000 visitors including 3,000 of Hana Tour retail agents.

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY PARTICIPATES IN “GALING PILIPINAS” CONFERENCE AT MAD STARS 2026 IN BUSAN

FILIPINO SCHOLAR’S MASTER’S THESIS JOINS SENTRO RIZAL LIBRARY COLLECTION

Seoul, 3 September 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul congratulates Ana Mae Roa on completing her Master of International Studies at Korea University’s Graduate School of International Studies. A copy of her thesis, Korean Language Centers as Intermediaries in Mobility from the Philippines to South Korea, completed in August 2026, has been deposited at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal Library.
