STUDENT'S ROUNDTABLE DIALOGUE ON NORTH KOREA

20 February 2024, Seoul - The Philippine Embassy, in collaboration with the International Democracy Hub (IDH), held a Student's Roundtable Dialogue on North Korea at the Sentro Rizal Conference Room of the Philippine Embassy on 20 February 2024.

The Roundtable Dialogue aims to raise awareness of the human rights issues in the DPRK. The IDH Team, a student organization co-funded by the ROK Ministry of Unification, prepared five (5) presentations that included an overview and the future of North Korean Human Rights. Two (2) North Korean defectors were likewise invited to share their personal stories with the participants. The stimulating Roundtable Discussion concluded with an engaging Q&A where all attendees participated actively. The Philippine Embassy once again thanks the IDH Team and the attendees to the event. FilWHEL CONDUCTS HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR FILIPINO IMMIGRANTS

Seoul, 25 October 2026 - The Filipino Women’s Diet and Health Study (FilWHEL) conducted a seminar entitled “Health Education Program for Filipino Immigrants” which discussed medical care, nutrition, and family relationship. Said seminar tackled how obesity affects the body and offered tips on lifestyle management. The importance of diet in preventing illnesses such as hypertension was also discussed. On family relationships, the significance of connection between parents and children was emphasized.

SEOUL PE GIVES BRIEFING ON ITS CONSULAR SERVICES AT THE UFILKOR EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP

Seoul, 11 October 2026 - The Philippine Embassy in Seoul participated in the United Filipinos in Korea (UFILKOR)’s educational workshop for members and friends of the organization coming from different provinces in the ROK at the Seminar Hall of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The workshop covered cybercrime awareness and prevention, consular services, emergency preparedness, gender and development (GAD), and long-term financial security through the Home Development Mutual Fund, or Pag-IBIG Fund.
