The Embassy Conducts a Cultural Trainers-Training Workshop


After the success of the cultural workshop for Filipino-Korean Children entitled “Alamat, Awit, Tumbang Preso, Atbp.” in August , the Embassy conducted a cultural trainers training workshop last 20 September 2008 which aims to train cultural partners that will conduct Philippine culture workshops in Korea.

Filipino volunteers who committed to promote Filipino culture in Korea attended the workshop. The volunteers are members of various organization representing Filipino scholars, spouses of Korean nationals and EPS workers. Mr. Ferdi Isleta of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) conducted the workshop and generously shared techniques on how to effectively conduct seminars on Filipino culture highlighting the use of Filipino stories, folk songs, and traditional games. Certificates of Participation were distributed to the volunteers at the end of the workshop by Vice Consul Arnel Talisayon and Cultural Officer Mylo Fausto.

PH AMBASSADOR VISITS CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF KOREA

26 March 2026, Seoul - Ambassador Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez participated in the tour of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea on 23 March 2026. The invitation also included a courtesy call and luncheon with Justice Kim Hyungdu, the highest official following the Constitutional Court President. The Ambassadors of Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Thailand, Uzbekistan, were also invited to take part in the activity.
